Reindeer sleigh ride in the Johkula winter forest
On a reindeer sleigh ride you sit on warm reindeer hides as a calm reindeer pulls your sleigh along a quiet, snowy forest trail. The reindeer herder walks ahead of the team and tells you about the reindeer's winter and herding life in the Johkula forest.
- Duration about 1 hour, including about 30 minutes of riding
- Adults €89, children (4–14) €59, under-4s free on a lap
- Departs daily at 12 noon from the reindeer farm near the resort
- Campfire coffee, juice and a bun in the hut
- Up to 8 participants per departure
- Season 1 December – 15 April
Good to know: The ride suits all ages and needs no experience. Dress warmly; you sit still in the sleigh, so wool socks and mittens are a must. You can feed the reindeer after the ride.
