Husky safari in the Johkula winter forest
On a husky safari you drive your own dog team along snowy forest trails and across frozen Lake Johkula. Before you set off, an experienced guide shows you how to steer and brake. Two people share each sled: one drives, one rides, and you swap halfway.
- Duration 2 hours, about one hour with the dogs

- Departs daily at 10 am from the husky farm next to the resort
- Warm juice and a bun by the campfire, briefing and guiding
- Up to 12 participants per departure

Good to know: Dress in layers and bring warm boots and mittens; winter overalls can be borrowed at the resort. Under-15s ride in the sled while an adult drives. Safaris run in freezing weather, but in extreme cold below -30 °C the start may be moved.
